L’Eau du Sud makes his Chase debut for Dan Skelton and unsurprisingly has a good chance of winning.
Although he has only won the hurdles twice, he was able to place very narrowly in top competitions last season.
This included a second place in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February before finishing second to Absurde in the County Handicap Hurdle.
The gray should be a great chaser, which is why we choose a place bet that pays better No Risk Of Flos.
This also covers other eventualities, although there are always question marks in pursuit debuts.
Trained by Olly Murphy, this gray gelding has won twice over obstacles in 11 runs.
He now weighs 10 pounds less than when he appeared last year and has dropped to a dangerous weight despite some respectable performances.
Some of this may well be due to what was ultimately fixed with wind surgery in September.
He could make a bold return after running well over this distance on Boxing Day in December.
