This is particularly due to his affiliation with Mayweather Promotions and more importantly, five-division champion Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather’s support and confidence in Moton’s abilities have thrust the 18-year-old into the spotlight since his debut on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo last September.
Although Top Rank has done a fantastic job promoting Mason, he’s just not as enthusiastic as Moton. Even a world champion turned promoter shares this opinion and praises Moton as the future of boxing.
