ATP Paris Day 3 predictions including Medvedev vs Popyrin
Day 3 of the Rolex Paris Masters offers another exciting tennis program as some of the top seeds in the draw begin their tournament. No. 4 seed Daniil Medvedev, the Paris 2020 ATP champion, will face Alexei Popyrin in the round of 32. Elsewhere on the field, Taylor Fritz meets Jack Draper. As always, we at LWOT have the preview and prediction for this game and all other events in Paris. But who will advance?
ATP Paris Day 3 Predictions
Adrian Mannarino vs Zizou Bergs
Head to head: first meeting
Adrian Mannarino ended his seven-match losing streak at the Masters with a straight-sets win over Tommy Paul on Monday. The French audience loves the 36-year-old, which the Frenchman is using to his advantage in Paris. Lucky loser Zizou Bergs defeated Richard Gasquet in round 1. I don’t expect him to get past another Frenchman.
Prediction: Mannarino in 2nd
Ben Shelton vs. Arthur Cazaux
Head to head: first meeting
Ben Shelton had his run to the Basel final behind him and picked up where he left off with a tough three-set win over Corentin Moutet. In the second round he gets another Frenchman, 22-year-old Arthur Cazaux. Cazaux was handed a lucky loser spot following the withdrawal of Jannik Sinner and will feel the pressure to impress in front of the home fans. Shelton is the much better player, but could he be exhausted? I will beat the American in two close sets.
Prediction: Shelton in 2nd

Ugo Humbert versus Marcos Giron
Head to head: Humbert 3-0 Giron
Number 15 seed Ugo Humbert started his ATP season in Paris with a hard-fought three-set win over Brandon Nakashima. In Round 2 he will face another American, qualifier Marcos Giron. The 31-year-old played the best tennis of his career in 2024. He has clean, powerful groundstrokes suitable for the indoor hard courts. However, Humbert has the support of the home crowd and the confidence to beat Giron in straight sets at this event last year.
Prediction: Humbert in 2
Daniil Medvedev vs Alexei Popyrin
Head to head: Medvedev 3-0 Popyrin
No. 4 seed Daniil Medvedev faces a tricky round of 16 against Alexei Popyrin. The angry Australian scored an impressive victory over Matteo Berrettini in the first round. Popyrin has power on both wings and a serve to match. Unfortunately, Medvedev is one of the best on tour at absorbing pace. This game will be fun, but Medvedev will make it.
Prediction: Medvedev in 2
