The Cumbrian’s quality proved too much for his opponents and Carrigan now faces India’s Sumit Sumit in the semi-final on Wednesday.
The Indian boxer secured his own place in the last four by defeating American Malachi Ross.
Should Carrigan survive his semifinal, he will face either Gabriel Dias Dos Santos of Brazil or Australia’s Diyanshu Redhu in Saturday’s final. He had previously defeated Latvian Arturs Vaisla in the first round.
Carrigan, now guaranteed a medal, is looking to add the world title to his large collection of national and European belts.
The Todhills-born boxer is a two-time European junior and youth champion, as well as a multiple national champion and has won a number of boxing cup titles.
His series of domestic victories earned Carrigan a place in the England team, where he also achieved a number of victories.
He is believed to be the first amateur boxer from Cumbria to compete on such a global stage.
The U19 World Boxing Championships at the Pueblo Convention Center, Colorado will take place from October 25th to November 5th.
