The prize money offer for Martin Bakole against Agit Kabayel is scheduled for November
The highly anticipated IBF heavyweight title eliminator between Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel is set for a prize draw scheduled for November. In early October, the IBF decided to appoint a heavyweight finals eliminator, with the winner given the chance to challenge IBF world champion Daniel Dubois.
So far, Bakole and Kabayel have been unable to reach an agreement on the terms of fighting. In response, the IBF has scheduled a prize money offer hearing for Monday November 5th, where all IBF registered promoters will be invited to submit their bids. The minimum bid required to participate is $200,000.
It is worth noting that the two camps may come to an agreement before the price offer. According to IBF rules, negotiations can continue up to 15 minutes before the bids are published. Given that both fighters have recently competed in events promoted by Saudi Arabia’s “Riyadh Season,” this agreement remains a possibility.
Martin Bakole has a record of 21 wins, 16 by knockout and only one loss. His last fight was against Jared Anderson on August 3, 2024 in Los Angeles, USA, where he won by fifth-round knockout.
Former European champion Agit Kabayel, on the other hand, has an unbeaten record of 25 wins. His last fight was against Frank Sánchez on May 18, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he achieved a seventh-round knockout victory.
The competition scheduled for November 5th is generating great anticipation in the boxing world. All eyes are on Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel as the result will decide who becomes the mandatory challenger for IBF champion Daniel Dubois.
