Tyson Fury reveals how much money he has in the bank after giving honest statements about his entire career – Boxing News
Boxer Tyson Fury has revealed how much money he has in the bank as he opened up about his future.
The 36-year-old Wythenshawe-born boxer is one of the best heavyweight fighters of his generation and has a record of 36 fights, 34 wins, one draw and one defeat.
Fury’s only defeat came earlier this year when he was dethroned by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
The pair are scheduled to face each other again in a rematch on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
During a recent press conference, the Brit was asked about former boxer Andy Lee, who said it was hard to accept defeat.
Fury said: “Andy Lee never had £200 million in the bank to make him happy, did he? So what is my goal and what is my goal?
“It’s not a belt. It’s not a legacy. It’s not a boxing match. It’s about making as much money as possible.”
Explaining why money was the motive, Fury added: “I have to fight as much as I can until the wheels fall off and I’m 50 years old and walking down the street crippled with a cane. That’s how I’ll be.
“I’ve had 40 professional fights and I was in every single one for the money. If I hadn’t gotten paid, I wouldn’t have done any of these. I’m doing it for the money, but I’m the only one telling the truth.”

He added: “I don’t come to these places and think, ‘Oh my God, I’m on TV.’ I’m famous.’ I ask myself, ‘How much money can I make at a certain point in my career?’ If you want to fight, the only question I ask is, ‘How much?’ I have gloves, I have a body and I will travel , if the money is right. I’m honest.”
When asked how he would approach his rematch against Usyk, Fury said: “I do exactly the same thing but don’t get a standing count in round nine and won the fight handily. “Yes, I will change without a knockdown receive.
“I wasn’t impressed because he’s a boxer and he gets paid for it. He did his job and got a very narrow win, but like I always said…a win by an inch or a mile is still a win.”
